Life & Agricultural Sciences Cluster Initiative

The Economic Development Alliance of Jefferson County (The Alliance), in partnership with the Southeast Arkansas Economic Development District, University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, Southeast Arkansas College, and local governments, chambers of commerce, and business leaders from across the region, is launching an initiative to make Southeast Arkansas a global leader in life and agricultural sciences. The goal of this initiative is to create a business plan for capitalizing on the region’s key assets, such as the National Center for Toxicological Research (NCTR), to create jobs and enhance prosperity in the region.
